* In the late 80's Elvis Costello and Paul McCartney collaborated on about
12 songs, including "Veronica", "So Like Candy" and "My Brave Face". My
Brave Face is the band that would have been if McCartney had joined Elvis
Costello and The Attractions to perform these songs. I'm playing Elvis.
Scott Taylor is playing McCartney. Paul Shrug is playing keyboard maestro
Steve Nieve. Peter David Connelly of The Mona Reels and The Bangs is playing
drummer Pete Thomas. And Tim Brown is playing Costello hired gun Marc Ribot,
with a little of McCartney's late 80's guitarist Hamish Stuart thrown in.

Radio8Ball has a new time.


Starting on November 23rd, Radio8Ball will be appearing on Tuesdays on KAOS
89.3 FM from 6 to 8PM (PST). This should make it a little easier for you
folks on the east coast to tune in. You can listen online at:
http://www.kaosradio.org/.


For those of you who don't know, Radio8Ball is a divining tool. An oracle.
People call in with questions. Maybe someone you know. Maybe you. These
questions are answered by picking a CD at random from a stack of CD's that
we like, placing the disc in the CD player, and pushing shuffle function.
The song which is randomly chosen is the answer to the question. Like
picking a tarot card, throwing the I-Ching, or shaking an 8Ball.



The new Radio8Ball will also feature special guests and interviews as well
as the astute divination that listeners have come to expect. There are also
some very interesting additions currently in the works. As the new format
develops we will keep you posted.



For Olympia listeners, Radio8Ball will be sponsoring a songwriters event
every Tuesday at The China Clipper in downtown Olympia with Pioneer Music
<http://www.pioneermusic.org/> . The music starts at around 9PM and runs
until 1AM. The night is designed to feature some of the region's finest
songwriters and touring acts in a forum that encourages freewheeling
experimentation. The Songwriters Session on November 23rd will feature Scott
Taylor (of My Brave Face) and Angela Jossy.

Hello.

If you tried to tune in to the Radio8Ball live broadcast last night and
weren't able to hear it, don't worry. There's nothing wrong with your gear.
The KAOS transmitter was down. It will be repaired by this afternoon and
we'll be back on the air next Tuesday from 6 to 8PM on 89.3FM in Olympia or
online at: http://www.kaosradio.org/. Our special musical guest next week
will be Sandman: The Rappin <http://www.rappincowboy.com/> ' Cowboy. Later
that night Sandman will be performing at our weekly songwriter event at The
Clipper, and it's Smokey Robinson night. All of the songwriters will be
performing at least one song by Smokey. Cool huh? If you have a Smokey
Robinson song you want to play let me know and I'll put you on the list.
